We conduct ongoing research on materials and techniques related to Japanese urushi art, in collaboration with specialists in Japan and overseas.
From 2016 to 2024, with support from the Toshiba International Foundation, we conducted research on Nanban lacquerware held in churches and museums across Spain. Annual reports (in Spanish) are available at the links below.
